I want to thank the entire staff at Memory and Company for the incredible care that my mom received while staying there. They were so attentive to her needs, as well as kind and patient. This put the family's minds completely at ease. My mom enjoyed dancing, playing games, and engaging in gentle movement with the other residents. We had no doubt that she was safe, comfortable and happy there. Memory and Company is a beautiful location - extremely well maintained, bright, and feels like a home. The rooms look like luxury hotel rooms! I can't say enough good things about this location. And a special thank you to Lauren for all that she does - she made the whole process so seamless for us. Her support will never be forgotten.

My dad was attending a half day program here and the support is amazing. It's a frightening decision to drop off your loved one when you're not sure what to expect however he loved going and was all smiles when he came home at the end of the day. I found he was brighter and was very happy with the events provided by the staff and even commented on how fast the day went and how nice it is to use your mind.

The staff are extremely attentive to patients needs and spoke to my dad like he's a real person not someone with dementia. When dad would arrive in the morning, the staff would ask him if he'd like a tea or coffee to start his day, they even provide a nutritious lunch where everyone sits together and eats.

I only have goods things to say about this facility and would like to thank Lauren for all the help and understanding. We really appreciate everything you've done for us.

Memory & Co has provided amazing service and support for my mother on a number of occasions. The team there is very caring and attentive to the guests needs and also great at communicating with e mails and pictures showing how mom was getting along. The activities, meals and accommodations are all first rate. I would strongly recommend Memory & Co for anyone who has a family member with dementia.

I can’t say enough good things about Memory & Co. Oakville. My Mom has dementia and lived with us, and she went there for Saturday adult daycare and respite stays. It’s a beautiful residence with a theatre, gym, salon, open dining area and enclosed outdoor space. The suites are lovely and my Mom said that the food was good too. The staff is amazing - their programs are excellent and perfectly geared to those who require memory care. My Mom enjoyed staying there and it lifted a load of worry from us when we were away as we knew she would be taken care of and also liked the experience.

My mother entered the Oakville Memory & Company residence following a five week stay in hospital with dementia and mobility challenges. Lauren assured me that her team could improve my mother's "baseline" and she was true to her word. With much caring and support, the team significantly improved her cognitive functioning and mobility.

While her stay there was brief, I'm very grateful we found Memory and Company to provide my mother with such wonderful care.

The experience at Memory and Co. was very disappointing to say the least for our loved one. Having experienced another long term care environment I can say without reservation that Memory and Co. is not a place for people with moderate to severe dementia. They lack the capability, competence and accountability needed to care for those patients as they transition to a new environment and the confusion/stress that comes along with that. Our loved one fell several times in the first few days and we were not contacted by Memory and Co. When deciding whether or not to select Memory and Co. we were told they have seen it all, have cameras/sensors that ensure help will arrive in the room before a fall, are properly staffed at all times etc. etc. The cameras/sensors didn't help/work (at one point they used the excuse that technology doesn't always work) and they deleted the videos quickly so you won't be able to see what happened and why. Our loved one was then found on the floor on a following day and they then contacted us (they didn't know how he got there, again cameras/sensors are non existent, don't work or the staff is sleeping at the wheel not responding on time). They couldn't get our loved one up so they had to call the paramedics. Our loved one was taken to the hospital then to do routine checks. There was nothing wrong but the entire experience made them agitated and more stressed/confused. Surprisingly when we spoke with the nurses and doctors there they were adamant that they didn't want our loved one going back to Memory and Co. as they had a negative view and didn't believe they were competent enough to deal with moderate to severe dementia patients. That was very surprising and eye opening to hear. Needless to say our loved one never went back to Memory and Co. despite having no physical injuries. Of course they kept the full amount paid for all the days our loved one didn't go back. Yes that is the policy and we were aware but it becomes more of an issue when you realize how incompetent they actually are and that when it becomes apparent they can just ship clients off to the hospital knowing how that is likely to go. It's a clever business plan. Keep no evidence to show what happened, send clients they can't care for off to the hospital. It's a win win arrangement. Eventually they provided some incident reports but they were littered with contradictions. It's really unfortunate as the place looks nice and promising for short to long term stays but clearly looks are very deceiving in this instance. If you want to put your loved one that has moderate to severe dementia I can't in good faith recommend Memory and Co. Our loved one has had another experience at another home and while its not as nice on the inside the level of care, competence, and accountability is night and day. They call for any little thing they think went wrong or could be an issue. They then adjust their strategy accordingly with successful results. Memory and Co.just pales in comparison across the board. We would never put another loved one in Memory and Co. and frankly we feel bad we chose them wrongly in the first place and subjected our loved one to an environment that was a risk to their health, progressed their disease and left us in the dark about what really happened. Hopefully this review helps at least one person to think twice and find a better place to put their loved one that has the capability, competence and accountability you would expect necessary to care for moderate to severe dementia clients/patients.

The level of physical and emotional care given to my family member at Memory & Company is gold star. Their new approach to programming and in helping members live with dignity is truly comforting. Rooms are spacious, food is excellent, caregivers are supportive.
