We booked at short notice for a shopping trip and decided to splash out and booked a suite.||From checking in until checking out, we were had an absolutely wonderful experience.||The hotel is easily accessed by road, and on approach we saw two lovely christmas trees flanking the entrance gates. On entering the lobby, there were more lovely decorations, truly getting into the festive season!.||We were warmly welcomed at reception, and quickly checked in. The usual Doubletree cookies were very much appreciated too. ||Our suite was no 313, which was very spacious, beautifully decorated and presented. The sitting area has a very large couch, and a little treat of quality chocolates was added too.||Other lovely touches include the kitchenette, separate air conditioning for the sitting and sleeping areas, and a balcony.||The bathroom was big, had a high quality shower and a separate bath. Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries are provided.||The bed was very big and supremely comfortable.||We had dinner in the Dormy Restaurant and once again were warmly welcomed. There was a choice of the standard menu and a 3 course festive menu. We both chose the festive menu, having Bang Bang chicken and Pate to start.||For mains, we chose Sirloin of Beef and Turkey & Ham. Desserts were fresh fruit salad and christmas pudding.||All the dishes were cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and were delicious. Service was faultless and we had a very enjoyable meal.||Breakfast was served in the Dormy restaurant, and is buffet style. There is a wide range of hot and cold items, with particularly good coffee.||This was a very enjoyable stay in a beautifully appointed suite. Doubletree Templepatrick is one of our favourite hotels and this newly renovated suite was absolutely stunning.

Wasn't bad but could have been better, especially for the price. I really hate to write this so hopefully someone will notice and make some improvements.|Took my wife last night for her birthday dinner. We were so looking forward to this treat as we are always working and don't get out much. Service was fine but the food for a high class hotel was dismal. So there's bad points and good points! My prawn cocktail was actually defrosted shrimps as most of them were still frozen, not a prawn in sight, the sauce was from a bottle or a jar, definitely not inhouse made, it was served with Radish which didnt work, it made the Shrimp taste mouldy, awful. My wife had the winter veg soup of the day, it was delicious albeit reheated in a microwave.|Main course, we both had the Christmas dinner Turkey and Ham, i was shocked at the tiny tiny portions, again especially for the price. My wife's portion was larger than mine but not by much, tiny slice of Turkey & same for the ham, i had about a table spoon of stuffing, 3 marble sized (soft) roast potatoes, one tiny floweret of cauliflower same broccoli, the tiniest cranberry tartlet i have ever seen in my life. The gravy was nice but a rich beef gravy served with Turkey and Ham? I have seen larger portions in primary school diner halls.|The desert wasn't much better, wife's cheesecake was ok, but nothing special and my Christmas pudding was 2 tiny thin slices of over microwaved mess with 2 spoonful's of store bought pudding & custard.|Come on guys, your the Hilton for goodness sake your ambassadors for Northern Ireland tourism. Ditch the microwaves and get some real chefs.|As i said the service was fine, our server Erin was fantastic no loss of marks there. Please sort the food.
